Has something changed?...I used to relish the challenge of school exams...an opportunity to use the information I had just packed into my head and usually, mostly, it would be relevant(apart from art exams!). My latest foray into the exam world has not been such fun. I'd done the cramming, prepared for the topics in some detail, but when the BIG question swivelled to reveal an unanticipated twist, for some weird reason I couldn't quite make the adjustments I needed. I flailed around, desperately trying to pull something together...but all the best ideas came to me AFTER the exam finished. Has something gone wrong with the speed with which I can adapt or did this always happen? Have I selectively forgotten post-exam frustration? Somewhere, far in the background I can imagine I can hear it...'You’ve let yourself down, you’ve let your school down....'
Who needs silly exams anyway?

I hope you manage to pass OK. Not for the want of trying.
I can remember the feelings of a blank mind during exams and the awful realization afterwards of how I knew the answers all along but didn't seem to remember till later.
Some people have problems with exam phobia no matter how clever they are.
I haven't taken a sit-down written exam in almost 25 years (gasp!), but I still sometimes have nightmares about them!
Stunned to report that the marking examiner must have LIKED my rambling essay...unbelievable; should I carry on to A2 or quit while I'm ahead???
